Board & Train

Are you struggling with major behavior issues? Resource guarding, reactivity, aggression, kennel anxiety or struggling to fully house break your dog? Our Board & Train program is designed to take your dog from the environment they are struggling in and address the issues directly and fully here at camp. They receive an immersive training experience while they are here at camp, from daily 1:1 training lessons with our trainer Juliana where they learn engagement, focus and how to start building relationship with their handlers to the balanced, supervised playgroups that are closely monitored by our trained staff. Your dog will get daily physical, mental and social enrichment where all of their needs are met and they can practice safe social interactions, relearn boundaries and how to handle stressful situations in positive ways.

In our 2-5 week Board & Train programs we are able to provide round the clock individual attention, removing bad habits, easing away fear, anxiety, and aggression issues while laying the foundation for a strong channel of communication you and your dog can continue to grow once they return home. We tailor each dogs’ training program depending on the dogs’ needs and the goals for each family. Whether that is learning how to be calm in public, learning how to walk on a leash, focusing on safe dog to dog (or human) interactions or for our more advanced students who already have gone through our basic program and want to kick their dogs training up a notch we can work on more advanced skills like off-leash recall, proper trail hiking / biking etiquette, learning how to paddle board or kayak with your dog.

Whether your dog needs to learn the basics or help with behavior modification or you want to take their training to another level we can curate a program for whatever you may need! Our goal is to develop your dog into one who is confident, focused, follows directions and is able to adapt under pressure or in a new environment. We value communication and teamwork over submission or obedience.

At the end of the Board & Train program, your dog will be better equipped to adapt and socialize with new dogs, people and environments. Owners will also see improvements on specific issues and overall obedience. Before your dog goes home, you will receive a private training session to ensure you as the owner leave with the proper tools & techniques to set your dog up for success. Their improvement is entirely dependent on how you, the owner, continue to build your relationship with your dog and practice meeting their biological and mental needs each day. What we teach won’t stick if it is not practiced at home.
